The team at Elliott Mobility, operating out of Phoenix Industrial Park, recently donated over 100 blankets to the SPCA in Amanzimtoti.
After seeing a plea for donations from the Amanzimtoti SPCA, the Elliott Mobility team mobilised and together with head office, worked to source as many blankets from across its removal operations as possible.
This small branch of the SPCA does not receive any government or provincial grants and relies solely on donations from the public to continue its work. The winter season is particularly difficult for animal welfare organisations as they struggle to keep all the animals in their care warm and comfortable in their kennels.
At Elliott Mobility, caring for the community, environment and the underprivileged is central to our company ethos. We commend the SPCA for the valuable work they do in protecting and looking after animals throughout the country.
The blanket donation was extremely well received and we hope this small gesture will make the cold season a little bit easier for the furry boarders at the Amanzimtoti SPCA.
Other items still on the SPCA’s winter wish list include dog and cat food, kitten and puppy food, dog shampoo, dip and dewormer. To find out how you can assist, visit the Amanzimtoti SPCA page on Facebook or visit the NSPCA website to find your nearest SPCA branch.
